Cafè Balear stands as the premier dining destination in the Port of Ciutadella and across Menorca for enthusiasts of haute cuisine. The Balear Group dates back to the 1970’s with the opening of Cafè Balear in the Port of Ciutadella, originally a tavern that would cater to seafarers before going out to sea, serving delicious fish and seafood-based tapas, cooked with love by Juanita, the mother of the group’s current owner. A restaurant that today is one of the most admired classics on the island.
Each dish on the menu is crafted with freshly caught fish and seafood, sourced directly from their very own boat, La Rosa Santa Primera, as well as from other small, local vessels. This commitment to fresh, top-quality ingredients results in a menu featuring dishes that have become classics of Menorcan gastronomy—like the lobster with fried eggs and potatoes, or the seafood-based pica-pica. Their menu perfectly reflects their motto: from the sea to the table.
