Llucasaldent Gran: Unparelleled Hospitalty in the Heart of Menorca

Perched to the southwest of the charming village of Alaior and just minutes from the longest white sand beach in Menorca, the Llucasaldent Gran estate offers its guests an ideal location to relax, unwind and enjoy expansive views of the very best of the island: the sparkling sea, the unspoilt countryside, and the iconic whitewashed Mediterranean homes and barns that elegantly dot the unspoiled landscape.

Set on a knoll surrounded by 200 acres of farmland, vineyards and olive groves, this estate has been exquisitely transformed by husband and wife team, Germán and Cristina, into a thriving adults-only agroturismo that seamlessly blends rustic elegance with heartfelt hospitality. Living onsite, Germán and Cristina manage every aspect of the estate themselves, greeting each guest with warmth, attentiveness, and a deep-rooted pride in their land. “We are here to give you the best holiday we can,” Germán says, smiling across his desk within their beautiful reception area that hums with tasteful music in the background. And they mean it. With one of the highest customer review ratings on the island, Llucasaldent Gran is more than a hotel—it’s a labor of love.

Cristina, a certified local guide, and Germán, an island native, offer far more than accommodation. Their insider knowledge is woven into the guest experience, from organizing private boat charters and hidden beach visits, to horseback rides through pine forests and sunset picnics in secluded spots. They generously leave each guest with their Whatsapp contact in case you have a question or need something. Their personal motto—“The solution is love”—rings true in every thoughtful gesture.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated team has the property running like a dream. As an authentic agroturismo, Llucasaldent produces its own olives, capers, grapes, free-range eggs, and seasonal fruit and vegetables, many of which end up on your breakfast plate or in your glass of wine by sunset. Germán can be seen most mornings walking the grounds and taking notes, always observing, always improving. For both he and Cristina, providing clients with the highest level of genuine hospitality comes naturally and with joy.

Arriving at Llucasaldent feels like entering a peaceful world of its own. Cristina welcomes you with her beautiful smile and Germán gives a personal tour of the grounds before leading you to one of the twelve guest rooms, three of which are housed within a beautifully restored barn, retaining their original marés stone arches, now repurposed as stunning architectural features that connect Menorcan heritage with modern comfort.

The property also has a villa that can be rented, ideal for families or groups looking to have the privilege of their own house but all the amenities that come with staying at the agroturismo. Germán will even hand-deliver a paella to the villa, steaming hot from the prestigious Llucasaldent kitchen.

On the estate, there are countless corners to unwind—the chill out area shaded by an impressive canopy of mature mulberry trees and hosting one of the property’s two honesty bars, where guests can mix their own cocktail and simply take note of what they enjoyed, to be paid later. The property also has two gorgeous pool areas to cool down and enjoy sprawling views and comfy loungers. But perhaps one of the most remarkable features is what lies beneath the surface—literally. Germán and Cristina transformed a network of natural caves into a moody and elegant wine cellar, a spa with sauna, and a stone-lined bar and lounge where guests can enjoy tastings or treatments in total privacy.

For those looking to connect with nature, the property also includes an exclusive 7-kilometer private walking trail, where you’ll walk or bike among the estate’s olive orchards, neighboring herds of sheep and Menorcan cows, prehistoric ruins and ancient rock walls - all reminding you just how magical this island is.

Dining at Llucasaldent is an experience in itself. Whether it is their exquisite breakfast buffet featuring literally kilometer zero products, to their lunchtime room service, to the elevated and delectable Menorcan and International dishes on the dinner menu- you are sure to love everything that comes out of the Llucasaldent kitchen. The cozy, rustic yet stylish dining room and the gorgeous outdoor terrace provides guests with two attractive environments to dine in. Whether you come for rest, romance, or exploration, Llucasaldent Gran offers more than just a luxurious stay—it offers the rare feeling of truly belonging in a place where time slows down and every detail is handled with care. A five star agroturismo.
